In the fall of 2023, my best friend, Marley, and Kevin’s sister, Kelly, were out one night and brought up two people they know and love who were both: in their early 30s and looking for their person. That’s where we come in. They both thought we might be a good match for each other. After the idea was planted in the girls’ minds, it only took off from there.
A few weeks later, Kelly and I met at an event and had fun gambling and drinking martinis together (for charity, of course!). Kelly gave me one of the best compliments I had ever received “I think you would fit in great with my family.” Soon after, Kelly talked to Kevin, gave him my number, and our first date was scheduled.
Our first date was on December 7, 2023 at the Long Room on the corner of Irving and Ashland. Kevin and I hit it off immediately. In fact, we talked so much, that we lost track of time and forgot to order food. Kevin walked me home and we were both buzzing. It only took a few more dates for us to realize we wanted to be together.
Throughout our relationship, Kevin and I have had the most amazing dates, tasted the best food, sipped delicious wine, travelled around the country, laughed every single day, and became part of each other’s family. I knew from very early on that Kevin was my forever person.
On March 8, 2025, Kevin proposed to me under the gazebo at Wells Park. Now, I did know it was happening (I felt the ring box in his jacket when we hugged…whoops!), but that did not take away from our excitement one bit. It was the most special night with amazing food, champagne, and a few of our loved ones by our side. Our excitement is still just as strong as I write this.
We cannot wait to get married and start the next chapter of our lives as husband and wife. We are so excited that you all will be there to celebrate with us on 12/20. It’s going to be a good time, don’t you worry ‘bout a thing.
